“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

As Christians, God calls us to be brave in our lives. But let’s be clear, being brave isn’t about doing whatever we want or taking reckless risks and hoping God approves.

Real bravery means seeking God’s will first and then acting on what He wants us to do. When we follow God’s plans in such a way, we can move forward confidently, knowing He is always with us. His presence gives us the strength and courage to face the challenges ahead.

Bravery in faith can look different for everyone. For some, it might mean standing up for what is right, even when it’s hard or unpopular. For others, it could involve stepping out of their comfort zone to help someone in need or share the message of Christ. In the end, it’s all about trusting God’s promises and stepping out in bold faith, even when we feel afraid.

Remember, being brave doesn’t mean we won’t feel fear. It means choosing to act despite that fear, knowing that God’s strength is greater than any problem we might face. When we trust Him in this way, we can overcome obstacles and grow in our faith journey.

Be bold for God

Questions to Ask Yourself:

  1. Where is God calling me to be more brave and trust in His plan?
  2. How can I stand up for my faith, even when it’s difficult?
  3. What steps can I take to share God’s love and help others?
